Danone's Global CEO Antoine de Saint-Affrique and China President Xie Weibo recently stated that China is an "ideal market" for Danone to fulfill its health mission and its second-largest global market. The company is deepening its commitment to China through enhanced local innovation and optimized strategic structure.
In response to growing health demands among Chinese consumers, Danone has developed a product matrix covering all life stages: including Aptamil infant formula, Mizone beverages, as well as products targeting aging populations such as the "Probiotic Crown Imperial Strength" senior milk powder and "Mind Agile" products designed to help delay cognitive decline. To boost production capacity, the expansion project of its Wuxi factory has been officially completed.

In terms of R&D, Danone relies on its Shanghai research center for local innovation and plans to establish another new center. Digital tools in the Chinese market (such as AI and product traceability systems) have shown significant results, and the company aims to replicate these successful practices in other Asia-Pacific markets like India and Southeast Asia.
Starting in 2026, Danone will reorganize its global regions into three, with Xie Weibo appointed as President of the new Asia-Pacific region. This restructuring aims to enhance decision-making efficiency, further unleash the growth potential of China as an innovation hub in Asia-Pacific, and achieve regional synergy.
