Foodinc interviewed Kevin JOHNSON, Starbucks president and chief
executive officer and Belinda WONG, Starbucks China chief executive
officer at the Starbucks & Alibaba Strategic Partnership Press Conference
after the announcement.

Kevin Johnson told Foodinc that new store openingis an important step for Starbucks' progress in China and he is very satisfied with the current speed and growth. Johnson also expressed that the strategic partnership with Alibaba will benefit Starbucks China's long-term development in China.

When asking about how the delivery business drives the growth of same-store sales, Belinda Wong responded that it is too early to predict. Foodinc commented that compared to many competitors,Starbucks is especially cautious about its delivery strategy.
